Meet Rose VanStaalduinen! Our Canadian-born business owner moved to Florida in 1993, and then on to Raleigh in 1996 and has decided this climate is just right! While raising her children here, her friend in Canada went through treatment for breast cancer. Having access to more resources here, Rose thought she could help her friend find a wig and unfortunately discovered that was not as easy a quest as she had hoped. Access to quality wigs and the proper education for styling and fitting them was hard to find, no matter where she looked. When Rose’s children were a little older, she decided to start investigating the business of wigs.

Gallery of Wigs opened its doors in October 2007 and has assisted thousands of women in their hair loss journey since. For many years, Rose was the only full time employee and her supplemental part time ladies were enough to assist women in need. Rose’s husband, Joel, has been a big support, assisting with all things IT, maintenance, and furniture building to outfit the space. As years went on, it was clear that more help was needed so Rose was joined by her daughter, Jessi, in December of 2017. The dynamic duo has continued learning about new products, growing their hairy inventory, and finding new ways to make customers satisfied.

With both ladies there from open ‘til close, and the growing population of the triangle area continuing, it became clear that Gallery of Wigs had outgrown their space. In May of 2023, a neighboring space became available and the back office of the business more than doubled in size! This expansion has provided significantly more space for wigs and hair care products.

It’s exciting to think of what the future holds for Gallery of Wigs and we thank you for being a part of our growth and business.

Our Shop

We have over 2000 wigs in stock, giving us a large selection of Brands, Styles, and Colors. If there is a Style or Color that is not in stock, we will gladly order it for you.
